The call may come from Kings Canyon in the Kimberley. It may draw me south to the Franklin River in Tasmania. It may rise from Cape Tribulation in the Daintree of Far North Queensland. Each place holds its own water story. Each carries ancient remembering through river, rain and ocean. đđ§ïž
The drums born on this journey will carry the voice of Water within their fibres. They will hold release. They will hold movement. Every beat becomes a prayer, a softening, a return to what is real. A bridge between Earth, Sky, and Spirit. đđȘ

About my Drums
Crafting Shamanic Drums is an art that transcends time.
As an example, for a standard 14″ Shamanic Drum, it takes 3-6 months to source the perfect materials, build the hoops and find hides large enough for this Sacred creation. âš
An additional reason for all of my Shamanic Drums is that I can only perform certain parts of the build under the particular weather conditions and perform the Ceremonies under the appropriate moon alignments. đđ»đ
In this day and age where products and services are at our fingertips 24/7, reading that building a drum may take many, many months - may make my drum building process seam archaic or out of date.
Let me assure you, as you get to know me you will realise that I like to do things the traditional way, the Ceremonial way.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, my friend and all good things come to those who wait. I hope you can understand.
All of my drums are wrapped with Kangaroo Rawhide. They are natural and the patterns that appear is dependant on each individual animal.
How long will it take?
So many years ago, this is where the journey began for me; and now, for so many others as well.
đż Patience is a Virtue: Even after 17 years of birthing drums, it is incredibly difficult for me to give you an exact timeline on when a drum is going to be ready for delivery. It is almost like trying to predict when and where it is going to rain next. It all depends on the drying of the drum and when the hide ‘settles’ into the hoop. This process has to occur naturally and can not be rushed. Some things are just up to nature đđ€·âïž
A 14″ Shamanic Drum takes approximately 3 months from the time I start the first Sage Burn, to the drum being ready for delivery.
A Ceremonial Shamanic Drum
It is always an honour to build and birth a Ceremonial Shamanic Drum đđ»
It takes approximately 3-6 months from the first Sage Burn to the drum being completely dry, settled and ready to be delivered to someone.
These drums I can only be built under the correct weather conditions and moon alignments.
Once it is birthed it sits in Ceremony with me through at least 6 moon cycles so that I can do the appropriate Ceremonies with Spirit and connections to Earth.

The Hoop Build
This Maple (also known as 'Meranti') is a tropical rainforest species found throughout South East Asia and the South West Pacific islands and due to its tremendous strength and diversity in colour, it makes it an interesting, durable and very hard-wearing hoop.
Its colours may vary from light yellows and greens, right through to mid browns, and wild reds.
Shamanic Drum Sizes

18 Inch Shamanic Drum, and
22 Inch Shamanic Drum.
Hoops are unfortunately not available to purchase on their own.
All of my Shamanic Drum Hoops are made in Ceremony by me.
I hand-pick the timber, sand, cut, glue, and sand again all while in Ceremony.
The significance of the octagonal shape is derived from teachings that were passed on to me by my spiritual team.
My journey started with round hoops and sometimes I still offer them - so please Contact Me if you want a round drum.
The Sticks...

Many people overlook the importance that the drumstick plays in the relationship between the Shamanic Drum and the origins of healing vibrations.
When using a Shamanic Drum, the drum stick (or mallet) should be an extension of you. An extension of your hand/arm and in turn, the facilitator of your intentions when you strike the drum.
No Stick, No Sound.
No Intention, No Vibrations.
Quite simple really when you think about it.
These are the drum stick that you will receive when you purchase a drum with me.
I have at all times a vast selection and I go through them all, striking the Shamanic Drum to see which is matched to the Shamanic Drum that I have built.
Some resonate more than others, it is all about finding the correct relationship between Drum Stick and Shamanic Drum.
I look for only the highest quality Mallets and ensure that they are perfectly made & matched to the Shamanic Drum.

I only courier my drums as I have learnt from past experience – compared to Australia Post, couriers are the most reliable and careful when shipping and handling the drum.
